Introduction

SOCIETY FOR ENVIRONMENT AND EDUCATION (SEE)

The Society for Environment and Education (SEE) a Non-Profit – Non-Government Organization was founded in 2010 by environmental activists Dr. Ellam Ramakrishna with the help and support of famous environmental activist T. Shobheendran to protect the environment and prevent degradation. The society also created the magazine 'Environment and Education' as part of environmental education. SEE is a center of excellence in environmental education and sustainable development, working in compliance with the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change's plans. Its mission is to raise national awareness of environmental issues, develop creative programs and instructional resources, and increase capacity in the field of education for sustainable development. SEE is committed to ensuring that environmental education leads to action for sustainable development and conducts field research to demonstrate the role of education in promoting sustainable development.

PARTNERSHIPS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

SEE the efforts made to help create a sustainable future in India and many other countries by working with local, state, national, and international agencies, organizations, and governments. SEE collaborates together with forest departments and other stakeholders to develop facilities and programs for interpretation. With a vast network of schools and colleges in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, it collaborates with several agencies to implement numerous environmental awareness school and collages programs.

Through CSR funding and partnerships with state governments, foundations, and corporations, SEE has worked on projects related to waste management, biodiversity conservation, rural and urban development, school education quality improvement, marine conservation, and more.

SEE has significantly contributed to international negotiations in the field of ESD while working with the government. SEE has actively participated in several environmental education initiatives in India, including the Global Environmental Facility-Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Program with UNICEF and the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD) with UNESCO.

SAVE EARTH MISSION ORGANIZATION

The Save Earth Mission, a revolutionary movement that has garnered worldwide recognition for its relentless efforts in environmental preservation. With a global community of over 10 million individuals spanning 68 countries, the Save Earth Mission has emerged as one of the largest initiatives of its kind.

1.Raising Awareness

One of the core objectives of the Save Earth Mission is to raise awareness about pressing environmental issues. Save Earth Mission understood that knowledge is the first step towards change, and thus, the Mission regularly conducts educational campaigns, webinars, and workshops on climate change, sustainable living, and the importance of biodiversity. By fostering a deeper understanding of these issues, the Mission empowers individuals to make informed choices in their daily lives.

2.Plantation Drives

Afforestation and reforestation play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate change. Save Earth Mission organized large-scale plantation drives across different regions, aiming to restore degraded landscapes and create green spaces in urban areas. These efforts not only helped sequester carbon dioxide but also provided habitat for numerous plant and animal species

3.Anti-Plastic Campaigns

Plastic pollution poses a severe threat to marine life and ecosystems. In response, the Save Earth Mission launched impactful anti-plastic campaigns, advocating for reduced plastic consumption and encouraging the use of eco-friendly alternatives. These initiatives extended beyond just awareness, as they actively engaged communities in cleanup drives and plastic recycling programs.

4.Promoting a Low-Carbon Lifestyle

Save Earth Mission recognized the importance of individual actions in mitigating climate change. He emphasized promoting a low-carbon lifestyle through energy conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable transportation. The Mission encouraged the adoption of renewable energy sources and collaborated with local governments to create eco-friendly policies.

Basic Service Conditions:

  1. The monthly consolidated remuneration is Rs.25000/- First Year and Rs.27,500/- Second Year.
  2. The Assistant Officer (Environment Management) shall have to work on consolidated remuneration basis for 2 years.
  3. The agreement will be renewed every year based on annual evaluation of performance.
  4. The services of those Assistant Officer (Environment Management) who show satisfactory performance will be regularised in the organization as per organization norms after completion of 2 years.
  5. The Selected Assistant Officers will be provided Environment Management Welcome Kit containing Laptop with Environmental Management Software’s, 5G Internet Data Dongle, Dairy, Handbook and ID Card.
  6. The applicants must clearly understand that the Assistant Officer (Environment Management) are NOT employees of the Central Government but they are the employees of Society for environment and education Organization but their salaries, allowances and other entitlements are will be equal or at par with the Central Government employees. Their service conditions are governed by the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and by the Indian Trusts Act, 1882.

E-Annadata Cards for Farmers

The Government of India is developing the E-Annadata card for farmers across the nation, which offers a 40% discount on essential goods through the Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh Kisan Canteen card. In addition to this discount, the card will provide farmers with various benefits, including insurance coverage for accidents occurring while working in the fields, access to medical services, market facilities, and opportunities for their children to enroll in prestigious schools. The E-Annadata card is intended for farmers throughout India. By facilitating the creation of E-Annadata cards in your locality, you can assist the Government of India in ensuring that farmers receive these valuable benefits. The Assistant Officer (Environment Management) will be responsible for this initiative in their respective areas and will be provided with a user ID and password to facilitate the card creation process/ through which you will make cards for the farmers.

Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG):

The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana is an initiative introduced by the Government of India in the 2024-25 budget, aimed at promoting rooftop solar power projects. This scheme involves an investment exceeding 75,000 crore rupees, with the goal of supplying solar energy to approximately 1 crore households, granting each household 300 units of free electricity monthly. By raising awareness about the advantages of rooftop solar installations and the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana within your community, you can support the Government of India in ensuring that all households benefit from this program. The Assistant Officer (Environment Management) will oversee this initiative in their designated areas and will receive a vendor user ID and password to streamline the registration process, assisting interested consumers in registering on the National Portal.

This centre encourages young people to pursue long-term, secure careers in the environmental sector.

HOW TO UPLOAD THE APPLICATION FORM:

  1. STEP: Candidates are encouraged to visit the website https://seeindia.org/ to complete their online application. It is essential for applicants to verify that their submissions are free of errors, as the organization will not be held accountable for any mistakes made by the candidates.
  2. STEP: Upon entering the information in the Portal, the applicant will move on to the payment gateway page.
  3. STEP: The applicant is required to submit the designated registration and Examination fee of Rs.250 using one of the four available payment methods: Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. Specific instructions must be adhered to for each payment method.
  4. STEP:Upon payment of the fee and completion of the application form, the application will be submitted. You will then be redirected to the online examination portal to take the examination immediately, which will include the information provided by the candidates.

HOW TO WRITE ONLINE EXAMINATION:

After the online Submission of Applications. The process is described in brief that is as follows:

  1. STEP: Candidates are advised to visit the Examination page at https://exam.seeindia.org otherwise, they will be automatically redirected there after submission of exam fees. It is essential for applicants to verify that all information is accurate, as the Organization will not be held accountable for any errors made by the candidates.
  2. STEP: Upon entering the required information in the examination portal, candidates must click the start button to commence the examination. The test consists of 50 questions, totaling 100 marks, which must be answered online within a time limit of 30 minutes.
  3. STEP: - Upon the conclusion of the examination or the designated examination time, the test will automatically submit itself, and the results will be displayed on the screen immediately.
  4. STEP: Candidates are required to download their test results for future reference. The details of shortlisted candidates will be made available online for the Interview and Document Verification Process in a 1:4 ratio.
