The Society for Environment and Education (SEE) a Non-Profit – Non-Government Organization was founded in 2010 by environmental activists Dr. Ellam Ramakrishna with the help and support of famous environmental activist T. Shobheendran to protect the environment and prevent degradation. The society also created the magazine 'Environment and Education' as part of environmental education. SEE is a center of excellence in environmental education and sustainable development, working in compliance with the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change's plans. Its mission is to raise national awareness of environmental issues, develop creative programs and instructional resources, and increase capacity in the field of education for sustainable development. SEE is committed to ensuring that environmental education leads to action for sustainable development and conducts field research to demonstrate the role of education in promoting sustainable development.
SEE the efforts made to help create a sustainable future in India and many other countries by working with local, state, national, and international agencies, organizations, and governments. SEE collaborates together with forest departments and other stakeholders to develop facilities and programs for interpretation. With a vast network of schools and colleges in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, it collaborates with several agencies to implement numerous environmental awareness school and collages programs.
Through CSR funding and partnerships with state governments, foundations, and corporations, SEE has worked on projects related to waste management, biodiversity conservation, rural and urban development, school education quality improvement, marine conservation, and more.
SEE has significantly contributed to international negotiations in the field of ESD while working with the government. SEE has actively participated in several environmental education initiatives in India, including the Global Environmental Facility-Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Program with UNICEF and the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (DESD) with UNESCO.

After Completion of 15 days Online Training, Candidates have to work in their allotted local Mandal/ Tehsil/Taluka which is opted by the candidate during document verification and Interview process. Initially for two years candidate will work remotely (Work from Home).

In order to meet Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi's goal of India having net zero emissions by 2070, the Society of Environment and Education, in collaboration with the international environmental organization Save Earth Mission, established the SAVE EARTH MISSION & ENVIORMENTAL EDUCATION CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTRE with the support of the Indian government. This centre encourages young people to pursue long-term, secure careers in the environmental sector.
